How to Use MakerLogiq

🚀 Quick Start — 5 steps

Sign in with Google
Click Sign In top right. MakerLogiq creates a MakerLogiq folder in your Drive containing your Inventory sheet and a Quotes log sheet. Everything syncs automatically.

Add your materials
Inventory → + Add SKU. Add everything you use: acrylic, plywood, filament, resin, hardware. Set Min and Max quantities.

Build your BOMs
Bill of Materials tab. Click a Finished Good, add raw materials, sub-assemblies, and sundry consumables with quantities.

Set your prices
In BOM detail, click the sale price button. MakerLogiq calculates your margin automatically.

Log orders and pick
Orders → + New Order. Click "Pull Materials → WIP" to deduct stock. Print the pick list. Mark Done when shipped.
Material Categories
Raw Material
Discrete parts: acrylic, plywood, LEDs, hardware
Sub-Assembly
Partially built components. Can have their own BOM. COGS rolls up automatically.
Finished Good
Sellable products. Add a BOM to auto-deduct stock on fulfillment.
Sundry
Consumables used in fractions — solder, paint, glue. Enter BOM qty as a decimal (0.1 = 10% of the unit).
Packaging
Boxes, mailers, tissue. Manage separately from production BOMs.
WIP
Work in progress. Useful for multi-day builds.

FAQ
My data disappeared on refresh — why?
Sign in with Google to save permanently. Without signing in, data lives in memory only and resets on refresh.
How do I track bulk materials used in small amounts?
Use the Sundry category. Set the unit to what you buy in (roll, can, kg) and enter qty on the BOM as a decimal fraction.
What is the difference between Min and Max?
Min triggers the reorder alert. Max is your reorder target — MakerLogiq suggests ordering enough to reach Max.
How do I use a product as a component in another?
Create it as a Sub-Assembly SKU with its own BOM, then add it as a component in your Finished Good. Cost rolls up.
What if I'm out of a material when an order comes in?
The picking screen shows stock in red when insufficient. You can still confirm and pull, or choose an alternate part if defined.
How do I recall a previous quote to revise it?
Open the Quote tab — the Quote History card on the right loads your last quotes from Google Sheets. Click Load & Edit to reload it into the form, or Load & Revise to reload it and automatically bump the revision number (e.g. Q-2026-001 becomes Q-2026-001-R2).
How do I change someone's role after they join?
Go to ⚡ Sheets tab → Team Members. Use the role dropdown next to their name to change them between Viewer, Manager, and Owner. Changes take effect immediately on their next page load.
👥 Team & Workspace Controls
MakerLogiq uses a shared Google Sheet as its database — everyone on your team reads and writes to the same inventory, orders, and quotes. One person owns the workspace; others join with a code.
HOW IT WORKS

Owner signs in — MakerLogiq creates a MakerLogiq folder in their Google Drive with the Inventory and Quotes sheets. A unique 6-character workspace code is generated automatically.

Owner shares the code — go to ⚡ Sheets tab, find your 6-character Workspace Code, click Copy Invite Message and send it to your team by text or email.

Team member signs in — they go to ⚡ Sheets tab, click Join a Workspace, enter the 6-character code, and click Join. They're added as a Viewer and connect to the owner's shared inventory.

Owner sets roles — go to ⚡ Sheets tab → Team Members, use the dropdown next to each person to promote them to Manager if needed.

REMOVING & REINSTATING MEMBERS

In ⚡ Sheets → Team Members, click ✕ Remove next to any member. After confirming, their status is set to removed in the shared Sheet. On their very next page load or sign-in, they are blocked and redirected to their own private workspace — they cannot re-enter the workspace code to sneak back in.
↩ Reinstate
Removed members appear in a greyed-out Removed Members section below the active list. Click ↩ Reinstate to restore their access as Viewer. They can then sign in and re-enter the workspace code to reconnect. The owner can promote them from Viewer after they rejoin.
